Insurance and Independence
A July 4th Reflection
This Independence Day, let’s talk about freedom and the underrated tool that can help preserve it: insurance.
Yeah, you heard that right.
The USA Founders Wanted Freedom. Not Bailouts.
The genius of America wasn’t just in fireworks and flags. It was in the idea that a free citizen could stand on their own two feet. No handouts. No bureaucrats. No waiting for the government to swoop in with a band-aid made of red tape.
When used properly, insurance is a tool of independence. It’s a private safety net, not a government program. You pay into it. You protect your family, your property, your livelihood. That’s the deal. That’s the dream.
But every time a government steps into the insurance business? It ends in disaster. Think about it:
Flood programs drowning in debt.
Medicare fraud bleeding billions.
State-run “wind pools” collapsing after the first big storm.
Governments are terrible at managing risk. Why? Because there’s no skin in the game. It’s not their money.
💥 Let’s Take It Back
Here at Inssux, we fight insurance abuse every day. But on the Fourth of July, we pause to recognize: insurance *real, honest insurance* can be a force for good. It can help people help themselves.
So this July 4th, light the grill. Raise a flag. And remember: Freedom isn’t free. But insurance, when done right, helps keep you free.
