I stood at the top of the Rocky Steps—arms raised, lungs heaving, heart full. Not just because I’d made it to the top, but because of what it meant.
The Rocky statue behind me wasn’t just a tourist stop. It was a mirror. A symbol of what it means to keep showing up. To take the hits. To get up anyway. And that’s been my life these past 12 years—taking punch after punch from an industry I once served, now standing toe-to-toe with it.
Like Benjamin Franklin, who founded America’s first insurance company here in Philly—The Philadelphia Contributionship. I saw a system that needed fixing. But somewhere between Franklin’s vision and today’s multi-billion dollar conglomerates, insurance lost its soul. It became about denying, delaying, and squeezing policyholders while executives collect bonuses and lobbyists write the rules.
That’s why I created Inssux.com
That’s why I became Jack D. Hapsburg.
And that’s why I’m still here, swinging.
